An old barn that has clearly seen better days, standing on its own with nothing around it but open ground and a heavy sky. I photographed it in black and white to keep the attention on its shape and the texture of the land.

On a wall it works like a window onto somewhere very quiet: calm, a little melancholic, and strong enough to carry a large size above a sofa or sideboard.

About this print

  • Photograph: black-and-white landscape photograph, by Chris / CK Studio
  • Choose your finish:
    • Mounted on aluminium Dibond, matt finish
    • Black wooden frame with a white mount, printed on Ilford photo paper (gloss)
    • Floater frame in black oak (the print appears to float inside the frame)
    • Floater frame in natural oak: the same build in light wood, a natural fit for bright rooms and Scandinavian or Japandi interiors
    • Photo print on Ilford black-and-white paper behind glossy acrylic glass, for deep blacks and crisp contrast
    • Photo print on Ilford black-and-white paper behind matt acrylic glass: the same depth with far fewer reflections, ideal for bright rooms or a wall facing a window
    • Fine art print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, a 100% cotton paper with a soft sheen and deep blacks, ready to frame
  • Sizes: Dibond, acrylic glass (glossy and matt) and fine art print from 30 × 20 cm to 150 × 100 cm; wooden frame from 30 × 20 cm to 90 × 60 cm; both floater frames from 30 × 20 cm to 180 × 120 cm

Frequently asked questions

How is my print made and packed?

Your print is made to order by WhiteWall, a specialist photo lab in Germany, within 3–5 working days. Every piece is inspected and gets WhiteWall’s quality seal on the back, then it’s packed in professional art packaging and shipped with tracking.

What if it arrives damaged?

Check your print when it arrives. If anything is wrong, email chris@ckstudio.art with your order number and a photo, ideally within 7 days, and we’ll replace it or refund you at no cost. Your 2-year legal guarantee also applies.

Can I return it?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, no reason needed. We refund the full price, including the original delivery; you only pay to send the print back. Read the returns policy

Which finish should I choose?

Aluminium Dibond: the print is mounted on a rigid matt aluminium panel, clean and modern, with almost no reflections.
Black wooden frame: a classic look, with a white mount around the photo.
Floater frame: the print sits in a slim frame with a small gap around it, so it seems to float, like in a gallery.
Acrylic glass: the photo behind a sheet of acrylic, for deep, vivid colours; the surface is glossy and reflects light.

Which size should I choose?

As a rule of thumb, a print about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or sideboard below it looks balanced. Frames add to the outside size: a black wooden frame with mount adds about 20 cm, a floater frame a few centimetres, Dibond and acrylic nothing.

How do I hang it?

Use two screws or hooks with wall plugs rather than one, so the picture can’t tilt or slide. Large pieces and acrylic glass are heavy, so choose plugs that suit your wall.

How can I pay?

By card and the local payment methods shown at checkout. With Klarna you can also pay later or in instalments, depending on your country. Prices include VAT and delivery in the EU.
