About

Quiet places, printed to last.

CK Studio is the work of Chris, a photographer based in Belgium.

Look through the collection and you'll see a pattern. A barn in the middle of nowhere. A small house under a very big mountain. One tree holding on at the edge of a cliff. A rock off the Scottish coast that belongs to the puffins. An empty stage before the music starts.

I'm drawn to things that stand on their own: not lonely so much as calm, and a little stubborn. I'll wait a long time for the light to do something worth keeping, and when it does, that's the photograph.

That's also what I want a print to do in your home: give the eye somewhere quiet to rest.

Where the photographs come from

Several prints in the collection come from Scotland, from the Highlands and the coast, with a detour through Venice.

How your print is made

Nothing is printed until you order it. WhiteWall, a specialist photo lab in Germany, makes each print to order. Black-and-white photographs are printed on Ilford paper and colour ones on Fujifilm paper. Your print is then framed in black wood, mounted on aluminium Dibond, set under acrylic glass or placed in a floater frame, whichever you choose.
